How it works

Publication Process

Submission

Authors submit an anonymized manuscript plus a separate title page through the editorial office email. An ORCID iD is required for every author.

Editorial screening

The editorial team checks scope fit, originality and similarity (plagiarism screening) within 2 weeks. Manuscripts outside scope are returned promptly.

Double-blind peer review

A minimum of two independent experts review each manuscript. The first decision is delivered within 8 weeks of submission.

Publication

Accepted articles are copy-edited, typeset, assigned a DOI and published online with a permanent PDF and full citation metadata for indexers.

Integrity

Editorial Policies

Publication ethics

Circuitus follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines for handling plagiarism, data fabrication, authorship disputes and conflicts of interest. Corrections and retractions are published promptly and linked to the original article.

Plagiarism screening

All manuscripts are screened with similarity-detection software before review. Manuscripts exceeding acceptable similarity thresholds are returned to authors or rejected.

Open access & licensing

All content is published open access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY) license. Authors retain copyright. No embargo periods.

Archiving & preservation

Journal content is preserved through long-term digital archiving (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS principles) to guarantee permanent availability.

Visibility

Indexing & Abstracting

Circuitus is being prepared for evaluation by international databases. Application roadmap:

  • Google Scholar — automatic once article pages carry citation_* metatags (template included in this package)
  • DOAJ — application after the first published issue and ISSN assignment
  • Scopus / Web of Science (ESCI) — target after 2+ years of regular publication, DOI registration via Crossref and demonstrated citation activity
  • Latindex, MIAR, ROAD, BASE — early-visibility directories, applicable from volume 1
⚠ Do not display logos or names of indexes that have not formally accepted the journal — evaluators (and the ISSN Center) check claims against public registries.
